My students are deaf and hard-of-hearing children with motivation to explore and understand the hearing world. The students I work with are learning to speak and listen with their hearing aids or cochlear implants. Spirited, creative, and inquisitive, they love to try new projects and to learn language in settings that are not "therapy" settings. Most of them come from low-income homes and have never experimented with paint on canvas. They want to feel like "real" artists with this project!
