In order to reach their fullest potential, it is imperative that students are provided with the appropriate resources. Some resources that can contribute to their successful development are flexible seating cushions, musical instruments, and tactile materials such as play dough. Flexible seating cushions will be used to help students take ownership of their learning by choosing which materials will help them learn best. Musical instruments and a CD/Cassette player will help students who are preferred auditory learners to use sound as gateway to their acquisition of literacy, mathematics, science, and social emotional learning. Sand and play dough will guide students who prefer to use their hands to successfully acquire phonemic awareness. Young learners can perform their best when their learning styles are acknowledged and enhanced upon. The materials that are listed above will help to guide individualized small groups, in which each students' preferred learning style will be developed to help them become more successful.
