I teach at an urban high school that has about 2,000 students (the majority qualify for free and reduced lunch). I am a 9th grade teacher, in order to provide smaller learning communities for our students transition to high school we have SLC Houses that allow 150 students to have a team of core subject teachers. My house also accommodates our SDC inclusion program. Many of my students are English Language Learners as well.
