My students are amazing six- and seven-year-olds who approach learning with enthusiasm and zest! They love school and look forward to the structure, community, safety, and opportunity that it provides them. My 1st grade class is in a large public inner-city school. The class is a vibrant mix of students from diverse backgrounds. Many of my first graders are in varied stages of learning English as their second language. I strive each day to create and maintain the supportive learning environment and high quality of instruction that my students deserve and need to be successful.
