My students are the best in a tough situation. They are the students who have risen above the masses and dared to reach beyond their comfort zone. Our district is a high poverty area with limited experience in self regulated success. Many of our students lack the discipline to think creatively out of the box, to find solutions to problems, or create something new for the sake of creating. Many have simply not the proper experiences or materials to foster this type of learning. My students have proven a desire to do more and be more.
