By purchasing books and materials for our school, we will be able to "ignite" our Project LIT chapter in the fall. Our hope is to flood the school with great books and celebrate reading. Furthermore, we will take part in book discussions and service projects based on the books we read. Project LIT equips and empowers teachers and students by providing increased access to high-quality, culturally relevant books, promoting the love of reading in our schools and communities, and bringing people together through reading. All students will have the opportunity to check out copies of the Project LIT books. Everyone is welcome to join in our discussions and service projects. Our goal to is champion and celebrate reading while advocating practices that will help our students become lifelong leaders.
