I have an enthusiastic group of fifth graders from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. They are curious and constantly full of questions. They love technology, community sharing circles, soccer and basketball, making slime, reading graphic novels, and being read to by their teacher. We are mathematicians, readers, writers, scientists, and citizens of the world. They continue to grow every day and challenge themselves as they continue on through this special and important transitional year. As a teacher I hope that I will always be able to foster a love for learning, an appetite for knowledge and questions, and a heart for empathy.

About my class
