My students are a bunch of energetic kids that do not have much P.E. equipment to play with. Many of them are immigrants or refugees, and are coping with learning a new language and adapting to a foreign culture. Physical Education is a place where they can release anxious energy, learn about the benefits of making healthy choices, and try new things no matter what their background is. Active and athletically involved kids are more likely to stay in school, avoid criminal behavior, and have higher self esteem.

About my class
