Our school is high poverty and many of the students are transient. They are eager beavers and love school. The children do not have resources at home and receive 2 meals at school. Most of the children in my 2nd grade class entered with the skills of a kindergarten/1st grade student. They are working hard and need additional resources to help reinforce the skills being taught. Hands-on manipulative/workstations is a key element missing in my classroom.
