I have two core classes of 43 students, many of them are designated gifted and talented which means they need a lot of hands on activities and differentiated instruction. I have students that come from households where the home language is not English. Some of my students speak Spanish, Urdu, Farsi, Hebrew, Russian, Korean, and Chinese. My students represent every race and religion of the world. We have a very diverse classroom so I like to provide many opportunities for group work so that they will learn to cooperate and work together. The technology I am asking for will help me to present material to the students and keep their interest. Students are bored with the VHS and DVD movies that have been in the library for twenty or more years. I want to be innovative in the way they get material presented.
