My Students: My students attend a public elementary school in northern California. Our school receives no federal, state, or district funding for technology. All technology is provided via donations and grants such as the Chevron Classroom Challenge which greatly benefits STEM education at our school site. I have 31 first grade students in my classroom. Approximately 50% of my student body comes from a lower socioeconomic area. They have access to our computer lab for up to 50 minutes a week. When they use and are exposed to technology, they are very motivated to learn and apply what they learned to the real world.
