The kids in our school are just like kids in any school across the country; they like to play outside, spend time with friends, and want to be successful. However, they are facing challenges that many kids will never experience, including high poverty rates, homelessness, lack of adult guidance at home, frequent moves, and low expectations. As teachers to this population, we do our best to broaden their experiences and set high expectations, but our funds and technology are limited.

About my class
