Our school has a high percentage of students in poverty. We have a wonderfully diverse population, including Latino, African-American, white, and Pacific Islanders. While their ethnicity's and cultures are diverse, most of our students have in common the lack of opportunities to use technology as a learning tool. In the Algebra 1 classes I teach, many students are struggling to pass this course required for graduation. They have failed it two or more times and have high levels of anxiety about math and low levels of confidence. But they so badly want to learn!

About my class
