My 8th grade students are some of the most wonderful kids you'll ever meet. They live in a poverty-stricken city, ripe with gangs and violence, and attend a Title 1 school. You can't image what these students have been though. Most of them are overage and at risk of never graduating from middle or high school. And yet, they are some of the smartest and most endearing kids I've ever encountered. They have so much potential. I've been blessed this year.
