I have 21 students this year- 13 girls and 8 boys. We are in NC and our 3rd grade class is one of four we have this year. My students like to read anything from comic books to chapter books, picture books to nonfiction books. They take a book from our classroom home every night to share with their parents. We are considered to be a high poverty school and many of my students have few to no books at home to read. I try to make sure that when each child leaves each day, he has a book that is new to him to take home and read.
