My students attend a nationally recognized academic magnet school and come from all areas of the city. The must maintain a 2.5 GPA to stay enrolled. The school has 724 kids with 71% minority students and over half of the students are from low income families. Like most of the country, our school system has cut funding and I am providing many supplies out of my personal funds.
