My students include many different individuals from many different backgrounds. In some of my classes there are as many as 4 different native languages which are spoken. One thing that may students struggle with are science concepts when they can't try things out and experiment for themselves. I have found that every time I teach through experimentation and investigation students are more likely to learn and become excited about science both within and outside of the classroom. My school is a new school and beyond basic supplies and supports which are provided there is little money for other expenses and additional supplies. This has really caused a struggle for myself and my students as we would like to perform many experiments and investigations which require safety equipment and supplies which we simply do not have. While we do our best I would like to raise the bar for my students and allow them new opportunities.
