The students that will be using the headphones with microphones are students reading well below their grade level and have been identified as students with disabilities. They are eager to learn but it is very difficult for them. Our school is "small" relative to the other elementary schools in our district. We feel like a family and most of the staff know the students across grades K-6. The students that I work with find reading on the computer fun and they earn stars when they complete an assignment. It gives them a sense of independence and it's an opportunity for choice.
