My second graders have various learning styles. The students don't always prefer to sit in traditional seating. Some of my students prefer to sit on the floor. Some students prefer to stand and sit. I want my students to have what's best for their learning engagement. Being in a mobile unit requires a greater effort to make the students comfortable in their learning environment. We start the day with our morning meeting and we gather as a whole group throughout the day, for lessons before the assignments. Having a large carpet for the classroom will certainly bring "Comfort and Joy" to my second graders!
