My students are ninth graders who live in a disadvantaged socioeconomic community. They are striving to become proficient on the standardized tests and I want them to thrive academically, but they need technology to help motivate them. Our district gets bad press and our students feel the pain when they are portrayed negatively by the media. Not having 21st century equipment compounds these feelings of inadequacy when compared to the surrounding high schools. Please help us to compete with our economically privileged neighbors to our north.
