Our school (grades K-5) is a public school constructed in 1923. A good portion of our students are lower income. My students come to me for specialized services in all academic areas and social and behavioral skills. The students I serve are needy academically but also emotionally. They need constant reassurance that they can be successful. Although they may come to me because of their weaknesses, they all have areas of great strength. For them failure is frequent and getting up and coming to school every day is their greatest strength.
