"Books Saved My Life" Gary Paulsen That's what I want my students to think when they think about reading. Unfortunately - my kiddo's don't have access to many books, literally and figuratively. They can't read books at their grade level, and wouldn't have the books even if they could. I have a high poverty, high ELL population and a way to bridge the achievement gap is to increase their access to books. I believe one way to do that is with audio books in the classroom to support our Daily 5 structure.
