My fifteen first graders all live in a very small town. We have two chain grocery stores and two traffic lights. Most of the students in my classroom receive free or reduced lunch and don't have lots of life experiences to pull knowledge from. It is my job to provide them with as many grade appropriate experiences as possible. I feel that one way to do that is to inspire and intrigue them through centers.
