My 6th grade students are like sponges; they soak up everything they hear and see. They attend a middle school with grades 6-8. The city we live in has some rough spots, and for many of the students school is a place to change their futures. My students love coming to science and I am constantly trying to find ways to connect what I teach in the classroom to the real world. Although hard working, sometimes the students have difficulty seeing the importance of what they're learning beyond passing the test.

About my class
