Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Allowing my students to sit in different seating allows them to work on core strength, a sensory, and focus more on what is going on as they are able to move a little bit. Giving students a choice is key in my room so having balls and wobble seats allows students to choose what will be best to help them learn. Many of my students haven't felt successful in school and one thing they need is a sensory diet! With the chairs and sensory bins, my students will be able to move around and begin to find success in their academic career as they are able to move around naturally. I have seen these be successful with some students who talk out a lot, and students who need some extra incentive to work. Giving students choice and helping them to be able to choose how they are going to sit will benefit my students in so many way! This is the beginning of having our students be more successful and be able to make choices and have that sensory diet which will benefit them greatly in this world!
