My students are inner city, economically disadvantaged, but very bright, smart and very hard working. They love to paint better than anything else we do. My students are 85% Hispanic and 15% black. The community they come from is very guarded and they don't have any opportunities to see the city or participate in outside activities due to the fact that they work to help support their families or they take care of brothers and sisters so others in the family can work.
