Hello! I am an English and Reading teacher at Eric Solorio High School Academy, a Chicago Public School located in Gage Park, not far from Midway Airport. I have been teaching English and Reading for about eight years, and I have been trained by the Great Books Foundation of Chicago in the art of Shared Inquiry. Students engage in inquiry by asking questions while they read, making connections, and having discussions about what they have read. I have a daughter who is about to enter the second grade, also at a CPS school, and I always treat my students as if they were my own children: lots of nurture, energy, and pride!
