Crossroads Middle School is an alternative school of choice specifically designed to assist middle school students who struggle in a large traditional middle school. Being in this supportive environment enables student to participate and "fit in" in ways they have not been able to previously. I am fortunate to teach science here, at one of the few middle schools that has an A/B schedule. This means that we have 80 minute class periods. We have time to really delve into labs, design new experiments, and still have time to discuss our results. Our students thrive in their new surroundings but still have unique needs that need to be addressed. I love teaching science and I love my 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
