Children with Autism face many challenges in our world. The traditional ways of learning in most cases don’t apply to these students. Instead as a teacher I need to find ways to engage my students and pull them out of their world so they can learn. My students are children with Autism that attend a public school. Their learning abilities and behavior are unique to each individual; truly each student is different on how they learn and the behavior they exhibit. They are wonderful students and with a caring and nurturing environment that is enriched with a variety of activities. These students are able to learn basic concepts and more. My students learn quicker and retain more information when technology is involved. Their eyes light up when they are able to use it. Those with better communication skills also ask for it, and talk to parents at home about it!
