My classroom consists of 120 fifth grade students. We are departmentalized at Pat Diskin. My responsibility it to present and teach the fifth graders in both Reading and Social studies. I see three classes of fifth graders everyday for eighty minute blocks. All my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. Pat Diskin is a Title One school in the Southwest part of the Las Vegas valley. The majority of our students come from low income or poverty level families. I have been at Pat Diskin Elementary since 2005. Our dedicated staff works not only with students but with the families. Inspiring life long learners and strengthening my students knowledge of the world outside of their community is my goal.
