My students attend a small charter school that has a very low budget for supplies. I have purchased some items, such as white boards, to use as tools to during instruction and when they do classwork. My students get very excited about being able to do math in any method other than worksheets or book problems. Using white boards is a great tool to keep them excited about working on the same problems that they could just do on binder paper. Few of my students can bring their own white board markers to school however, so as the ones I've purchased dry up, they are not able to enjoy this activity.
