We're a public middle school in a south Seattle suburb. These kids are a slice of America, with wide diversity and interests. Our rich diversity makes it even more important that we give these kids the tools they need to tell their stories. They let their curiosity and interests run wild with their reporting and writing as they keep our learning community up-to-date with the news, feature stories, and information happening around school and beyond. In an age when Facebook and texting seem to dominate much of their "input and output," these 7th graders are aware of the importance of telling stories accurately, responsibly, and interestingly -- and more pictures will help them do that more and more effectively.
