Our school is in a high poverty area. Often students don't have the materials and the support needed at home in order to be successful. School is the only place where they get the help they need. My goal as a teacher is to create life-long learners and bring into my classroom enthusiasm and positive attitude towards learning. Kids respond well to computer games and everything that is engaging and interactive. I would like to promote Math as a fun subject where you can learn in so many different ways. I created games for my Math center and using technology (computers and games) would make Math so much more attractive.
