My students live in one of the roughest urban areas in the California and yet they come to school each day, excited to learn and willing to work hard. Our school is 100% free and reduced price lunch and 75% of the students are English Language Learners. Each of my students has dreams and passions that go far beyond the four walls of the classroom and they inspire me with their optimism and vitality. Reading is one of the key tools we use to engage students and to allow them to explore our social studies curriculum in an interesting way.
