My room is full to the brim of 25 boys and girls from low income communities in Tennessee. They arrived in my classroom in August knowing as many as 24 letters in the alphabet to 1. They are excited to learn, eager, and their energy is contagious. I see so much hope and promise in each of their eyes. They can do anything, if given the chance and support!
