Our school is an Afro-centric high school meaning that we strive to provide our kids with relevant curriculum that pertains to their lives as well as upholds their cultural history. Too often the African-Americans students fail to capture the meaningful and fruitful history of Africans that affirms their identity and cultural heritage. We are a public charter school with a 100% African American student population. Our students come from Detroit neighborhood. This area is one of the hardest hit areas in Detroit's fall from grace. 100% of our children are free or reduced lunch students.
