PS 124 is a Title I Pre-K - 5 public elementary school located in the heart of Manhattan's Chinatown. The school is named after Yung Wing, the first Chinese-American to ever attend a private American institution of higher education (Yale). It is my privilege and pleasure to honor Yung Wing's legacy as a 5th grade teacher in this building. Our 5th graders are hard-working, creative, curious and eager to learn. Amidst the challenges of 5th grade curriculum, they are also navigating the complexities of growing up, transitioning from elementary school students to middle school students. Our goal is to foster the independence, responsibility, work ethic, pride and passion that will ensure our students' continued success in middle school and beyond.
