The student body I teach is approximately 98% tribal members and 2% Filipino, Middle Eastern or other. They are all middle school students at Six Directions Indigenous School, though they range in age from 10-15. Our school focuses on preparing students to walk in both worlds of their tribal heritage and the 21st century skills they will need to navigate the world beyond the reservation.
