My students are in grades 6, ranging in ages 10-12. Our school has a unique schedule where students in 6th grade have a homeroom classroom in the morning and rotate classrooms in the afternoon for subject specific instruction. Throughout the day we will see over 100 students all ranging in ability level. We work hard to meet the needs of the students through individualized leveled instruction. SSES is located in a lovely neighborhood community in northern Sparks. While many students come from loving and supportive homes, many do not have access to the technology needed in the 21st century classrooms today. My students love to challenge each other and help their fellow student learn. My goal is to create a safe environment where students are excited to learn and not afraid to take chances. They learn it is alright to make mistakes, because that is where true learning comes from.
