These books will be used as starting off points for our studies in government, economics, social issues, and history in a kid-friendly way! Second graders will study everything from the Constitution to poverty and the importance of economic decision making. By the time we get to March for Women's History month, students will be excited to learn about the fight for women's right to vote. Using engaging read aloud texts helps students understand our country's systems and history through memorable stories. They will learn about people who have made a difference within the context of each unit (government, economics, poverty, black history month, etc.).
