I teach in a school where the special education students are integrated into all classes; we take pride in this. We have a community-based program that is highly active and attempts to let the students associate with general ed students as often as possible. This could mean just attending homeroom, cheering with the cheerleaders, or being part of the VIP program, one especially set up to let these students socialize in an informal setting.
