I teach a class of wonderful first graders. My school is in a poor community and most of my students come from poor homes. Our county and state education systems have cut back on budgets and our school is currently feeling the effects of that. Of course, we do not have many supplemental funds from parents due to the economic conditions that the individual families represented in our school are facing. My students, however, come to school everyday ready to learn new things.
