We live in a large city in Texas. Our school is very culturally diverse and from low socio-economic backgrounds. I teach language arts and social studies to fifth graders. My students are second language students that need exposure to a variety of text medias, especially news magazines so they will become informed individuals. My students have very few opportunities to explore the world, with news magazines the world will be at their finger tips.
