In Guidance Class we are always discussing how our actions/choices effect everything else in our life. The use of the dominoes are a great hands-on experiment to learn how to work together, to see cause and effect, to problem solve, and, the most important to me, is to learn how to be an active team member. The students will be allowed to freestyle ideas ,as well as be instructed on specific directions when constructing the dominoes to fall. With all the technology out there, often our students only form of communication is social media/texting. Yes, even in elementary school! I want to teach the children how to communicate effectively, be assertive, and be assured that their opinion matters!
