Since adding extended day Kindergarten to our routines this year we have more time for art projects but no more funding for supplies. We live in a rural area without stores to purchase even the most basic supplies for my classroom use in any affordable manner. Many of my students have not attended preschool due to poverty level and lack of transportation, so this year is their first chance to explore and use art supplies. My students love art projects and parents don't have the means to send in supplies. We have added a letter of the week art project that my students are really enjoying but it is difficult to have a variety of supplies to use.
