My first grade students live in an urban, Ohio public school district that prides itself in its diversity and cultural make-up. With that brings varying socioeconomic statuses, family dynamics, educational backgrounds, and life experiences. Many of the students in my classroom, and in my school for that matter, have a limited supply of books and technology at home. My school strives for excellence through a strong literacy framework and hands-on math experiences. Our school does a wonderful job of incorporating literature into all content areas, and I'd love to have more materials to provide my students with a top-notch education!
