Our school is a neighborhood school where many of the families have had all of their children go to our school. In addition to neighborhood families, we also have many out of district families who choose to attend our school. In this coming year I have the great fortune of having siblings of previous students and some students that I have known since kindergarten. My students are inquisitive and thrive when they can be actively involved in their learning. I incorporate literature into the majority of my lessons and we use many manipulatives in math. On Friday mornings we are scientists and spend the majority of the morning completing investigations and experiments.
