Extra Yard For Teachers Awareness Week

Share:

In support of the inaugural Extra Yard For Teachers Awareness Week, the College Football Playoff Foundation just funded over 400 projects across the country. The communities funded include Glendale, Arizona, the site of the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship, and additional funding was directed to cities of colleges and universities that will be participating in on-campus celebrations of Extra Yard for Teachers Awareness Week this Saturday, October 10. These communities include Tulsa, Oklahoma; Iowa City, Iowa; Lubbock, Texas; Clemson, South Carolina; Bowling Green, Kentucky; Tucson, Arizona; South Bend, Indiana; Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah; Toledo, Ohio; and Fort Collins, Colorado. We thought this Twitter exchange really showcased the impact of the Extra Yard For Teachers program:

@CFPExtraYard thank you so much for donating over $1300 to finish my @DonorsChoose grant. This teacher is a huge college football fan. #STEM— Hope Meares (@MrsMearesClass) October 7, 2015

.@CFPExtraYard was inspired by great educators like Hope. You too can make a difference through @DonorsChoose!
