Medium choice helps with artist voice! Having clip boards and table easels won't only make the classroom experience more manageable, it will also allow us to change our creating environment and express ourselves outside in our urban community. Scholars will be able to find inspiration in the natural world around them just as professional artist as they use these portable table tops. I often give assignments to meet standards but allow the scholars medium choice. With these new materials I will be able to allow scholars to experiment with various types of paint including oil as well as acrylic. I will also be able to teach scholars how to stretch and prime large canvases with the new stretcher bars.
