My classroom is for curriculum assistance for approximately 50 students with IEP's and 504 Plans. My classroom is designed to have separate setting testing, curriculum support, academic support as well as teaching organization. This is my 12th year as an educator, however it is my first year in a classroom. My students range in disabilities, ages, and cognitive skill. It is my job to help them access the regular education curriculum by any means necessary. My students range in learning styles, whether it be auditory, visual and/or hands on. I have the classroom to create this environment, now I am asking for tools to help me do so. Budgets for North Carolina teachers are minimum and usually out of our own pocket. I am asking for assistance to help these children grow, succeed and graduate to become successful individuals in our community and our future.
